This was another that RAAonline cannot afford to forget, one similar to November of 2016. RAAOnline’s Web Hosting page was being SURREPTITIOUSLY USURPED by an erstwhile Associate which grossly affected the speed and performance of our site. The domain space which was under the ownership of RAAOnline, was being FRAUDULENTLY USED by the Associate to host his own personal websites. RAA was constrained to lodge an official complaint with the Cyber Crime section of the Police Department as the perpetrator refused to undo his misdemeanour and assure us that this would not be repeated. The offense was repealed after the respected authorities swung into immediate action and confronted the perpetrator. RAA then handed over the Web Management Vertisize Solutions.Further, to effectively manage, guide and propel RAAonline to the next level, RAA is proud to introduce an enhanced Management Team in various roles who will form the foundation of RAAonline. This team will spearhead the functioning and management of RAAonline and will aim to stabilise its presence not only in India, but across the world!

Vertisize revealed the FIRST LOOK of the renovated website. The excitement that gripped the Management was to have been seen to be believed! Our patrons, no doubt, were in for a visual treat!

This was yet another memorable month for RAAonline. This was a month when we were given the rights to go live online at SEVEN PRESTIGIOUS CONFERENCES. These were Cardiac Anesthesia Update 2013, Cardiac Anesthesia Update 2014, PREPP 2017, CTCME 2016, Obstetric Medicine Update 2016, ISSP 2016, and GARC 2016. Truly a memorable month in the history of RAAonline indeed.

A prestigious hospital in Bangalore, VYDEHI HOSPITAL, signed on with us for the Institutional Package access under the respected guidance of Dr. Durga Prasad.

RAAonline had the good fortune of signing-on the valuable services of MR. VISHI VASAN to edit and fine tune all Online Lectures and all Videos of surgical procedures. This contributed immensely to the redesigning of the contents of the website.

This was another memorable month in RAA’s history. SRMC cardiac surgical department under the guidance of Dr. Periyasamy signed up for the Institutional Package. This adds yet another prestigious feather in RAA’s humble cap.

A Newsletter updating all patrons on the plans of DEVELOPMENT AND REVAMPING of the website was sent. The plans to also develop a user-friendly Mobile App were also revealed.

This was another memorable month in RAA’s history. CMC, Vellore, under the selfless guidance of Dr. Raj Sahajanadhan, signed up for the Institutional Package. This adds yet another prestigious feather in RAA’s humble cap.

The website underwent a Change of Guard with respect to its infrastructure support and management. MR. NADEEM AHMED, Director, VERTISIZE SOLUTIONS, Bangalore, was signed-on for developing and managing the website which was now becoming more and more active and dynamic and began to need a professional to service and offer care to it.

A Newsletter commemorating the year and the achievement in the year gone bye whilst also welcoming the year 2017, was sent. SEVERAL NEW PRESENTATIONS were uploaded on the site marking the same.

Dr. SHYAM , Anesthesiologist, Chennai, joined RAA’s team. RAAonline had been requesting Dr. Shyam for a long time now to join the team to provide his valuable inputs to the site, but was unsuccessful till now to seal his help due to his commitments.

This month will be remembered in the annals of RAAonline for a long time. For, this month taught us, whilst indulging in yeomen service, to also be vigilant of parasites of the Internet! Valuable video contents of RAAonline which had been developed with raw dedication by the Author, putting in years of hard work and precious time, were STOLEN from the website by a hacker and uploaded on no less a site than Youtube! The Author then had to approach high offices of the Police Department with whose immediate help, this crisis was thwarted.

A Presentation on RAAonline was made to the Executive Council of the ISA. The respected Council applauded the site with a STANDING OVATION. This is arguably the largest feather in RAAonline’s cap!

Yet another brain child of the author took shape in this month. ‘ASK THE EXPERTS’ area on the site was launched. Experts in the field gracefully accepted to provide answers to questions posted by our respected patrons in this space.

Another prestigious institution located in Hyderabad, FERNADEZ HOSPITAL,under the guidance of Dr.Sunil Pandya signed on for the Institutional Package. This was our first foray into the joint states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Taking into respected consideration the requests and suggestions RAA used to receive on its website, the facility of ONLINE LIVE LECTURES was started. This was a facility most beneficial to a large set of our respected patrons.

One more prestigious institution, FORTIS Hospital, Jaipur,under the guidance of Dr.Lochan Tiwari signed up with RAA for access to the Institutional Package. RAA considers it an honour to be associated with Fortis. This was most encouraging for RAA in that such prestigious institutions were signing up for this Package recognising the value that was being offered on the contents of the site.

To further make the website more attractive and interesting, VIDEOS and ANIMATIONS on the site were made FREE. This helped in providing insight to the exclusive contents of the site whilst also offering a taste of the quality of contents on the website.

Yet another prestigious associatation, ACTA, Mumbai, signed up with RAA for the Institutional Package thus accessing all contents on the website. This was our first foray into upcountry territory, thanks to the support provided by our respected patrons.

This was another memorable month for RAAonline. No of visitors to the website touched TWENTY THOUSAND. With its humble beginnings, this was a matter of immense pride for RAA indeed.

SECOND INSTITUTIONAL ACCESS was subscribed to by SRM INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, Chennai. Further, a Discussion Room on the website was introduced. More than 50 discussions are already uploaded in this space on the website.

This was again yet another landmark month for RAAonline. RAA bagged the FIRST EVER INSTITUTIONAL ACCESS for the contents of its website. MADRAS MEDICAL MISSION, Chennai, signed an agreement with RAAonline for unrestricted access to all its contents for a period of two years. This was a prestigious achievement for the website and its dedicated staff.

The number of visitors to the site grew to a resounding 100 PER DAY! The number of Presentations on the site grew to 100. The total number of packages grew to 13. The total number of downloads grew to 5 per day. The 5th Newsletter of RAAonline was released.

RANJITH ANESTHESIA ACADEMY was formally launched with all formal registrations and related formalities. The popular Whatsapp and Facebook groups of RAA were created. These groups are a constant source of encouragement, guidance, exclusive content and feedback to RAA. The Groups have the good fortune of containing eminent personalities who provide a constant source of guidance, knowledge, technical information and experience to others in the group. The Author moderates this group and provides extracts from these discussions on the website for the knowledge of all patrons.

This month is written in GOLD in the annals of RAAonline, thanks to its patrons! The number of visitors to the website touched a whopping 10000! This was indeed a feather in the cap of its author! RAAonline had the good fortune to attend IACTOCON 2016. Attending this conference in itself was a major landmark for RAAonline. Popularity for the site at this conference peaked. As many as 50 downloads of contents were made at this conference within a period of just THREE DAYS. This was a never-before for RAAonline and an illustrious feather in its cap!

A further RENOVATION OF THE WEBSITE triggered by valuable constructive feedback from the patrons of RAAonline was taken up on a major scale. Several technical innovations were introduced to make the website more convenient to use and attractive to see. A HELP section, which detailed out how to get over hurdles if faced on the site, how to locate and download content, etc., was added to the site for the convenience of its patrons. A web page was also opened to carry the Terms and Conditions of the website.

RAAonline commemorated the coming of the NEW YEAR with a BROCHURE dedicated to 2016. The brochure laid out all that was new on the website and summarised the journey of RAA thus far. RAAonline also published its 4th Newsletter. The site continued to receive rave reviews that encouraged RAA no end to keep the effort up in this endeavour.

RAAonline continued to GROW STEADILY by adding more and more knowledge content to its website. The number of presentations increased to 80, thus providing more and more choices to its patrons. Traffic on to the website continued to steadily climb.

To commemorate the FIRST ANNIVERSARY of the website, RAA took up revamping of the website and its features and choices. The changes were welcomed and applauded by all patrons of the site. RAAonline released a brochure to commemorate this landmark achievement of the Academy.

RAAonline crossed yet another MILESTONE here - the number of visitors crossed 5000. This was a significant achievement by a start-up website in just under a year since launch! The 3RD Newsletter of RAAonline was released and carried a mention of this landmark.

The concept of PACKAGES on the site was introduced. The SUBSCRIPTION and CUSTOMIZED packages were launched identifying the need and download behaviour of patrons. RAAonline further introduced the concept of delivering the contents of the website through the CD or Pen Drive.The traffic on RAAonline kept increasing steadily. Number of visitors increased to 30 per day. The number of free downloads increased to 10 per day and the number of paid downloads increased to 3 to 5 per week. This went to show that more and more patrons were looking out for knowledge banks and that RAAonline was popping up on more and more search results.

Another choice to the website users, the PUBLICATION SECTION, was added. Several important publications pertaining to the field of Anesthesia were added here.

Adding to the academic attraction of the website, and to provide a variety of choices for patrons, VIDEOS AND ANIMATIONS of critical procedures were added to the bouquet of choices present. Important and useful WEBLINKS to critical information were also added. Further, the number of Presentations on the website increased to 65. To further professionalize the site, the procedure of user login through registration was introduced.

This month was a MAJOR LANDMARK for RAAonline in that the number of visitors to the site touched THREE THOUSAND. And the number kept increasing encouragingly at a brisk pace.

The need for periodically apprising our esteemed patrons of RAAonline of developments and additions to the site was deeply felt. The author struck upon the idea to post an E-NEWSLETTER each month to the clientele of the site, briefing them on what was new on the site and how they could benefit more from it. The FIRST NEWSLETTER, under the guidance of Nissar Iqbal, a childhood friend of the Author, was released. This first newsletter of RAAonline drew praise from the fraternity on its idea and having identified its need.

Visitors increasingly requested for the facility of ONLINE PAYMENT to purchase the website’s contents. RAAonline tied up with CC Avenue and Paypal for online payments. The number of paid and free downloads increased to 20 per month each. This was a sure sign of RAAonline acquiring popularity amongst the Anesthesia fraternity.

RAAonline began to acquire references through good word-of-mouth. Our respected patrons were beginning to refer about RAA in their circles. This was evident in the increase of hits on the site. The NUMBER OF VISITORS increased to 20 per day. The number of downloads increased to 2 per day.

To increase the authenticity of the website and to further establish its credentials, TESTIMONIALS from various respected Anesthetist colleagues were added. This was a decisive move as these testimonials immensely increased the respect of the site. It was an honour hosting these testimonials on the website as much as it was receiving them.

TRAFFIC on the website began to further increase. Number of visitors per day ranged from 7 to 10. Number of downloads in a week was 3 to 5.

RAAonline offered its FIRST FREE DOWNLOAD to its esteemed patrons. A Presentation on Hemodynamic Monitoring was the first to be offered as a free download. This turned out to be a decisive move for RAAonline. Patrons who were, perhaps, apprehensive earlier about the quality on contents of the website, now had a preview into it. The number of hits on the website began to now increase slowly, but surely.

RAAonline CAME INTO EXISTENCE at a small family function with parents and other family members of the Author inaugurating the website by symbolically clicking on each menu. The website then contained Presentations, Guidelines, a couple of Quizzes and a Gallery of pictures of eminent personalities and events the author had had the good fortune to be associated with. The website immediately began to receive hits from those who had been made aware of its launch. The reviews that came in were encouraging.
