Overview
Description
Maintaining cardiovascular stability with optimal hemodynamic parameters and adequate systemic perfusion pressure during the anesthetic management of patients with valvular heart disease can be extremely challenging. With the high incidence and severity of complications in this subgroup of patients, a concise understanding of all relevant factors affecting myocardial performance with valvular pathology is necessary.
