Description
Supraglottic Airway Device (SGA) is the term most frequently used to describe a group of non-invasive airway devices capable of delivering oxygen, or anesthetic gases, above the level of glottis and sealing the pharynx without the need of endotracheal intubation. It is indicated for securing an airway during resuscitation of an unconscious patient and recommended by various guidelines. This video contains concept of airway management, first and second generation of SGA, classification of SGA, positioning and insertion techniques. This video focuses on the clinical use of SGA devices.
